About Us
Superswim Academy Parow-North was founded in October 2016 by Rozanne Milburn. We started off as an open pool & only operated during the summer months, but due to popular demand and the lack of LTS schools in the surrounding area we grew substantially over the last few years. One of our priorities was to re-invest as much as possible to ensure we have a state of the art venue. We have our clients and their continued support to thank for this & that’s why at Superswim we strive to provide the best service possible and place our clients first.
We are situated on a residential property in Parow-North, very central to surrounding areas - De Tyger, Plattekloof, Panorama, Bellville, Edgemead, Monte Vista, Richwood and Goodwood.
After about a year’s worth of construction our facility is fully enclosed & ready to battle the elements. We spared no expense; our facility is double insulated and well ventilated making it nice & cool during summer and cozy warm in the winter. For the parents we have a lovely outdoor chill zone, shaded from the sun & surrounded by landscaping, to sit and relax while our instructors are busy teaching. This area is also available for use during our kiddies’ pool parties.
Our Premises
The pool itself is amazing! 8m long & 3,4m wide, with a continued depth of 1,4m…more than enough space for 2 instructors and 2 clients. We are currently running 2 x 12Kw heat pumps & able to heat our water up to 36°C. The heat from the water raises the room temperature as well, no chills after getting out of our pool.
Instead of a conventional salt and/or chlorinated pool, we at SSAPN opted for the best. We have a combined Ozone / UV treated pool along with the best Activated Filter Media (AMF) keeping our water clear and clean. This makes our pool perfect for asthma sufferers, and clients suffering from irritable skin disorders. No harsh chemicals, only a minimal amount of chlorine as residual. Combined Ozone / UV also remove metals from the water, making it soft and gentle on the skin…it also destroys any harmful bacteria.
Our swimming program continues all year round. We pride ourselves in the fact that we have a child orientated approach and we aim to instill a love for water, instead of a fear, in every child that passes through our pool.
We provide a safe, friendly and inviting environment where children can learn while having fun and feeling supported and motivated. Knowing full well that all children learn and progress differently, our swim school offers one on one lessons as well as paired lessons where your little one can swim with a partner. Our team consists of 3-4 instructors. All of our instructors are qualified through Swim South Africa and have a valid First Aid level 1. All of us have an absolute passion for working with children.
We specialize in water safety, learn to swim, beginner strokes as well as stroke correction form age of 18 months up to adult. We also host children’s pool parties and Aqua Aerobics.
